These Bacon Wrapped Kielbasa Bites Are An Awesome Appetizer

Many of us appreciate putting out a nice appetizer before a meal. It helps to whet the appetite of those who taste it and when we put out the right appetizer, it may even upstage the meal to a certain extent. That is especially true when bacon is included, and these little bacon wrapped kielbasa bited are perfect for any occasion. In fact, you might even find that they are just as delicious as the main course.

There are many people who feel that bacon makes everything taste just a little bit better, regardless of whether it is something savory or even something sweet. When you try these Bacon wrapped kielbasa bites, however, it is all about savory, saltiness and that little pop of flavor that is really going to make a difference. If you are wanting to impress some dinner guests or if you just want to do something special for your family, make sure these are on the menu.

Ingredients:

1 lb. kielbasa
10 slices bacon
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
3 tablespoons stone-ground mustard
3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon black pepper

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and top with a baking/cooling rack. Lightly spray the rack with non-stick spray.

Cut kielbasa done the middle, lengthwise. Slice each half into 1 inch pieces, you should have about 30 pieces of kielbasa. Cut each piece of bacon into thirds. Wrap one bacon strip around each piece of kielbasa and secure with a toothpick. Set aside.

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and pepper. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved. Keep warm on low.

Brush the kielbasa with glaze and place on the baking sheet/rack.

Bake for 40 minutes and baste every 15 minutes. Serve immediately.
