Go Ahead And Enjoy This Breakfast Banana Split Tomorrow Morning

When most of us think about banana splits, we think about an ice cream treat that we enjoy in the afternoon or perhaps even as a midnight snack. Believe it or not, you don’t need to reserve a banana split until later in the day, especially when you know how to make them the right way. In fact, these breakfast banana splits are not only delicious, they are quite healthy as well.

Rather than being a dessert including ice cream and sweet, sugary syrups, the breakfast banana split is a banana with berries and all types of healthy stuff on the inside. This includes Greek yogurt and some granola. Of course, you do want to make it somewhat of a treat as well so go ahead and add a few chocolate chips to the top. It is going to make a breakfast that your family will not quickly forget.

Ingredients:

1 banana
½ cup strawberry Greek yogurt
¼ cup blackberries
¼ cup raspberries
½ cup granola
mini chocolate chips for garnish

Directions:

Prepare yogurt by placing container of yogurt in the freezer until firm, not frozen solid, just scoop-able.

Scoop out two scoops of yogurt and place each scoop in a separate paper muffin liner.

Put back in the freezer until ready to use.

Split banana in half.

Add 2 scoops of frozen yogurt.

Add berries, granola and chocolate chips.

Serve immediately.
