Vegetable oil or canola oil for frying
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoon butter cold
3/4 cups milk
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 ground cinnamon
Preheat the oil to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl mix together your topping ingredients and set aside.
In a large bowl combine your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cut in the butter with a pastry cutter.
Stir in the milk until it forms a dough.
Knead the dough and separate little balls.
Lower your donut holes into the heated oil slowly and fry for about 3 and a half minutes. Only do about 4 or 5 at a time so it isn’t over crowded.
Pull them out of the oil with a small metal strainer then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
