There are many different types of cake that we might enjoy but when it comes to a delicious cake for a hot summer day, there is nothing quite like ice cream. It is the perfect treat for a summer party or just for grabbing as a midnight snack when you want something sweet and delicious.
Buying ice cream cake at the store can be expensive and some recipes are quite elaborate when you try to make them on your own. That isn’t true with this recipe, however, and it is not only delicious, you can put it together in no time at all. As it turns out, ice cream cake does not need to be difficult but it does need to be delicious, and this recipe is perfect.
Ingredients:
9 ice cream sandwiches, unwrapped
Caramel sauce
Chocolate sauce
Whipped topping
Sprinkles
Directions:
Place 3 ice cream sandwiches side-by-side on a plate.
Spread caramel sauce on top, followed by chocolate sauce.
Add another 3 ice cream sandwiches. Again… spread caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. Add your last 3 ice cream sandwiches, and then cover the whole thing with whipped topping.
Top with sprinkles, if desired.
Freeze for several hours, then take the cake out of the freezer and slice to serve. You can drizzle with additional sauce, if desired.
