There are always going to be certain types of foods that make it onto the dinner table. One of those foods is the simple cheeseburger and it is such an easy meal, sometimes it is difficult to believe it is as yummy as it is. That is why we were surprised by this recipe because it took the cheeseburger and made it into something fun.
The recipe is for a cheeseburger bomb and these little delights are about to grace your table. They are super simple to make, so it is easy to come home after a difficult day and put them on the table. Along with being easy, they are also fun to eat and bursting with flavor. You have got to try this recipe but be warned; cheeseburgers will never be the same again.
5 slices bacon, diced
1 pound ground beef
½ cup onion, diced
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon mustard
2 tablespoons ketchup
3 teaspoons diced pickles
1 roll of pizza dough
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 egg yolk, whisked
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Fry the bacon in medium skillet until crispy, then add ground beef, onions and salt and pepper. Stir periodically until beef is completely cooked.
Drain beef of excess grease and pour into a bowl, add mustard, ketchup, pickles and egg, then stir until combined. Set aside.
Roll out the pizza dough, use a cookie cutter to cut 12 circles and place 1 tablespoon of cheese on the dough circles then 1 tablespoon of ground beef. Form the portions into balls and close them well by squeezing the dough.
Put the balls on a baking tray. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 15 minutes or until golden.
