When the weather is cold outside and it chills us to the bone, we tend to treat ourselves to something warm. There are many different types of comfort foods that might fit into this category but one thing that most people enjoy is a nice cup of hot chocolate. If you are one of those people, we have a real treat for you.
This is more than just your normal cup of hot chocolate, it is polar bear hot chocolate! This is a fun drink for your kids but even if you are an adult, it is something you will love as well. When you see this adorable polar bear face looking back at you as you sip your cocoa, it will warm your heart. Surprise someone you love today with this drink, even if you live in the tropics.
Ingredients:
1 jumbo marshmallow
1 standard-sized marshmallow
2 mini marshmallows
2 candy eyeballs
1 chocolate brown M&M
melted white chocolate chips
Hot chocolate mix of your choice
Milk or water for hot chocolate mix
Directions:
For each bear, you’ll start with your jumbo marshmallow for the base. Put a small dab of the melted chocolate on each of the mini marshmallows and attach to the top sides of the jumbo marshmallow for ears.
Then, you’ll cut about 1/3 off a standard marshmallow to use for the polar bear’s muzzle.
Melt a small amount of white chocolate and put a small tab on the cut side of that 1/3 marshmallow piece, then attach it to the jumbo marshmallow.
Then, put a small dab of the melted white chocolate on the back of each of the candy eyeballs and put them on the jumbo marshmallow face, right above the muzzle.
Put a small dab of melted white chocolate on the chocolate candy and place it on the top side of the muzzle.
Place your newly constructed marshmallow polar bear in your mug of hot chocolate and watch him float as you enjoy your drink!
