Retro Spaghetti-O Jello Is An Unusual Treat

When somebody says the word Jell-O to you, what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Like many people, you probably get a nostalgic feeling about this treat as it may been something that you had as an afterschool snack when you were a young child. Yes, Jell-O is just one of those special treats that many of us appreciate but now this recipe changes what we know about Jell-O and may even make us question life itself.

The recipe is relatively simple. You add SpaghettiOs to some on flavored Jell-O and chill it in the refrigerator. It is almost as if somebody is just throwing everything together that they can find before it goes bad after a hurricane. Although many people may turn up their nose to this concoction, it is really something you have to try to believe. The taste of SpaghettiOs is something that many of us appreciate and now that we have added Jell-O, it is a fun, wiggly treat.

Ingredients:

¼ cup water
¼ cup condensed tomato soup
2 (¼ ounce) packets unflavored gelatin
2 cans Spaghetti-Os

Directions:

In a large pot, pour in your water and condensed tomato soup, then sprinkle the gelatin on top. Allow gelatin to bloom in the water, about 5-10 minutes.

Once gelatin has bloomed, stir together lightly.

Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium, then keep stirring occasionally until the gelatin has completely dissolved, and the mixture is quite smooth and liquidy.

Turn off the heat and add the Spaghetti-Os to the pot. Mix until well-combined, then pour evenly into 4 cup ring mold. Refrigerate mold for 4 hours or overnight.

When ready to serve, loosen mold by placing in a bowl of warm water, then invert onto a plate. Serve with Vienna sausages.
