You Can Please A Lot Of People With This Fantastic Slab Apple Pie Recipe

When you think about fantastic fall desserts, what is it that comes to your mind? Like many people, you might think about apple pie, and when it is made the right way, there is nothing quite as delicious. It seems to pull the entire family to the table and if you add some vanilla ice cream, you will be in heaven!

Ingredients:

1 (12.1 oz) box refrigerated pie crusts, softened as directed on box
1 cup white sugar
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/4 ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp cornstarch
8 cups finely diced apples

Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Place one of your pie crusts into a rectangle baking sheet and shape it so it goes up the edges. Use the other pie crust and cover the other half of the baking sheet. They will overlap slightly in the middle.

Chill the pie crusts until you are ready to use it.

In a bowl add your sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, salt, lemon juice, cornstarch, and stir.

Fold the apples into the mixture until all of them are coated.

Pour the apples into the pie crusts and spread it out evenly. Bake for 30 minutes at 425.

In a small bowl mix together the powdered sugar and milk, until it is smooth.

Pour the icing over the apple pie after it cools. drizzling over the entire thing.
