What Could Be Cooler Than A Koolickle?

If I were to ask you what goes on a plate with a sandwich and some chips, you would probably guess it right away. That’s right, I’m talking about a pickle. There is just something about pickles that makes them an awesome treat or the perfect side dish. I don’t know if it is the crunchy snap when you bit into them or the juicy flavor but they are never far from my table.

If you are someone who has a love for pickles, you are going to be amazed with what you can do to them. This recipe takes a simple pickle and makes it colorful. It even adds some flavor, so it is doubly nice. This recipe uses Kool Aid to flavor and color the pickle, so you really have a wide range of choices.

Ingredients:

46 ounce jar of dill pickles (1.36L)
5 cups sugar
1 package of Kool Aid(any flavor)
1 cup pickle juice
1 cup white vinegar

Directions:

Drain pickles and reserve 1 cup pickle juice, cut pickles in half(lengthwise). Set aside.

Mix pickle juice, vinegar and sugar in a medium bowl until sugar dissolves, pour into 4 separate mason jars, add a package of kool aid to each and shake jar to incorporate.

Add pickles into jars and refrigerate for 3-5 days

Enjoy!
