I want you to think back to a time when you were younger and you used to come home from school and enjoy a snack. More than likely, those are some of your fondest memories, not only because of the childhood innocence but because it was something delicious for us to appreciate. More than likely you enjoyed any number of different snacks but a favorite for many people were Oreo cookies.
If you are somebody that loves the nostalgia of Oreos or if you just love them because they are delicious, this recipe truly takes them to the next level. The recipe is for Oreo and peanut butter brownie cakes and just as the name describes, it is one of those delicious treats that you will want to have over and over again.
1 box brownie mix, enough for an 8×8 inch size pan
24 Oreo cookies
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a 12 muffin cup baker with paper liners.
Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
For each cupcake cup spread 1 teaspoon of peanut butter over 2 Oreo cookies and stack them on top of each other.
Spoon 2 tablespoons of brownie batter over each stacked Oreos and let it run down the sides of the cookies. If you have left over brownie batter, bake separately in a separate baker or muffin tin.
Bake cookies and brownies for 18 to 20 minutes, until brownies are cooked through. Let cool completely then serve.
