Have Fun With These Jelly Heart Pie Pops

There are so many different types of desserts, it is difficult to name all of them. The fact of the matter is, we probably have our favorite but sometimes, it can be difficult to choose from one to the other. That is why we might appreciate it when we have a menu in front of us that contains a lot of different dessert ideas.

For some people, the ideal dessert is a piece of pie and for others, it might just be a sweet jelly treat. Fortunately, those two factors come together quite nicely in these jelly heart pie Pops. They are very simple to make and perfect for a get together with friends or a romantic dinner for two. Try making these one time and you will see that they really put smiles on faces quite quickly.

Ingredients:

Refrigerated pie crust
1 tablespoon per pie crust of your favorite jam
1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoon sparkling sugar
Oven-safe lollipop sticks

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut hearts out of your refrigerated pie crust.

Put a tablespoon of jam into the center of one of your heart pieces.

Put another heart on top.

Use an oven-safe lollipop stick and stick it in between the two heart layers and press lightly to seal.

Use a fork to pinch the edges of the pie pops.

Brush the egg wash across the top of each of the pies.

Sprinkle a little pinch of sparkling sugar onto the pies and then place them onto a baking sheet lined in parchment paper.

Bake for 20 – 30 minutes then serve!
