Salt seems to be becoming the new sweet in recent years with salted popcorn and salted caramel taking off in popularity worldwide. The combination of sweet and salt whilst sounding rather strange is actually very nice and the sales figures of these products certainly backs that up. It seems that people are looking to broaden their taste horizons, that the same old treats and tastes are becoming boring and so people are trying different combinations to push the boundaries. So how about we introduce you to a new recipe that moulds saltine crackers with delicious caramel, chocolate and nuts. Whilst these might sound unlikely bedfellows, it’s what tastes good that is important not what something sounds like. And believe me, once you try this recipe you will be shocked at how great it tastes.
Not only do the crackers give you a lovely contrast in taste with the chocolate and other ingredients, they also give you a totally different texture. This treat which is really easy to make, tastes amazing and will be certain to have everyone returning for more. And when you tell your friends and family exactly what they have been eating they will be shocked. So follow the recipe below and see what they think. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction.
