Nachos are always a lot of fun to have for dinner. You can eat them as an appetizer or if you want a special treat for the main course, you can liven up some nachos and make them just right. It seems as if nachos are not only for the main course or an appetizer any longer, they can also be for dessert. Here’s how you do it.
Rather than making the nachos spicy, you can make them sweet when you choose this recipe. It is similar to a caramel Apple but when you add all of the nacho toppings to it, it really takes things to the next level. This is the perfect snack for the middle of a summer day but you can make it in the winter as well, because you don’t ever need to wait to have a sweet treat.
Ingredients:
30 large marshmallows
5 tbsp butter
35 caramels
1 tbsp water
4-5 apples, sliced
toppings (peanuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed candy bars, etc)
Instructions:
Arrange your sliced apples onto a plate however you want, just try to find a way to set them so most of the apples will get covered in all your yummy toppings.
In a sauce pan, melt your caramels with 1 tbsp of water, stirring constantly until melted.
In another sauce pan, melt your butter first, then add in the marshmallows, and stir until melted.
Drizzle your melted caramel and melted marshmallows over the the apples.
Then you can add as many toppings as you want! We used peanuts and mini chocolate chips and it was the perfect sweet treat!
