When the weather turns warmer, most of us tend to look for something to cool down. There is nothing quite like enjoying a cool treat on a summer’s day and this recipe is the perfect way to do so. It is super simple and it puts together an adult treat that contains enough tequila to really make it a fun afternoon.
This recipe is for tequila sunrise Popsicles and they are not your normal, every day popsicle. They include some tequila along with pineapple juice, peeled pineapple and grenadine. When you put them altogether and freeze them in your popsicle trays, you will find that it produces an adult treat that is perfect for the warmer weather. Of course, if it happens to be winter, nobody is going to mind if you make these anyway.
Ingredients:
2 cups pineapple juice
1 lb, fresh pineapple, peeled and pureed
3/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup grenadine
Directions:
Combine and stir pineapple juice, pureed pineapple and tequila.
Fill popsicle wells 3/4 way up with pineapple mixture.
Pour 1 teaspoon of grenadine into each well.
Insert popsicle sticks and freeze for 24 hours.
If your popsicle mold does not have a top, cover the top with foil and outline each well with your fingers. Cut a tiny slit in the middle of each well and insert popsicle stick.
