We have the opportunity to have a number of treats throughout the day but sometimes, we don’t indulge ourselves in them. One of those treats is having an adult beverage, something that we may limit to the weekends but sometimes, it’s just a lot of fun to relax and have one after a difficult day.
One of the types of drinks that many of us appreciate is a martini. It is a relatively simplistic drink but there are so many different variations, it is difficult to number them all. One of those variations is this fun drink, known as a birthday cake martini. You might think that it would be limited to one day out of the year but once you try it, you will recognize that it is great fun 365 days a year.
Ingredients:
1 ounce White Chocolate liqueur
1 ounce Cake Flavored Vodka
2 ounces Half & Half
Pastel food coloring (optional)
Frosting
Candy sprinkles
Directions:
Use two dessert plates and spread a thin layer of frosting onto one plate and candy sprinkles onto another. Dip your martini glass rim into the frosting and slightly twist covering the rim with the frosting.
Roll the rim into the sprinkles and set aside.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, white chocolate liqueur and half and half.
If you want to have a colorful pastel drink, add 2-4 drops of food coloring of your choice.
Shake and strain into your prepared martini glass.
