I don’t know about you but I don’t ever feel as if dinner is complete until the salad is on the table. Of course, different people enjoy salads in different ways but sometimes, there just isn’t a substitute for what it brings to the table. That is sure to be your experience when you try this several layer salad. It really is that good.
Sometimes, it isn’t exactly when we get the salad that makes a difference, it is what goes into it that makes it special. When you see all of the delicious choices in this salad, you will wonder how they were able to fit it all into a single bowl. Serve this one for dinner tonight and you will be a hero in your house.
Ingredients:
1/2 head iceberg lettuce, chopped or thinly sliced
4 red bell peppers, chopped
1/2 cup green onions, thinly sliced
8 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
1 1/2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup frozen peas, defrosted
6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
Freshly ground black pepper
Ranch dressing, for drizzling
Directions:
In a large trifle dish or serving bowl, layer lettuce, peppers, green onions, eggs, cheddar, peas, and bacon. Season with pepper.
Drizzle with ranch before serving.
