There are certain types of foods that most of us would never turn away and sometimes, we may even seek them out because they are so delicious. Cheese is one of those types of foods that simply seems to enhance almost any meal and bacon is a close second, provided it isn’t at the top of your list.
Now it is possible to enjoy these two delights together in this bacon wrapped cheese rollup recipe. This is one of those snacks that is going to be a family favorite and it is perfect to make for friends or family when you have them over for a meal. Try this one tonight and you are guaranteed to make it tomorrow as well.
Ingredients:
8 slices white bread
8 slices American or Cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked
1/4 cup butter
Directions:
Remove the crusts from the sliced bread and roll flat using a rolling pin or the side of a glass.
Add a slice of cheese on top of the flattened bread, then roll up tightly and wrap a slice of bacon around, securing with a toothpick.
In a large pan over medium-low heat, melt the butter, then add all of the roll ups. Continuously turn the roll ups around in the pan to ensure all sides are nicely browned and cheese is fully melted.
Serve with ketchup, on the side of tomato soup, or however you like. Enjoy!
