Chicken is one of those foods that seems to find its way onto our dinner table weekly. In fact, you probably have eaten it many different ways, including baked, grilled and fried. One of the ways to eat chicken that is a favorite in many households is chicken Parmesan. It’s the combination of the chicken, cheese and sauce that really makes this recipe fantastic.
If you want to try something new and exciting at your next get-together, chicken Parmesan is certainly going to be on the menu. I’m not talking about the Italian dish, I’m talking about turning chicken Parmesan into these amazing sliders. It’s the perfect appetizer or, if you make enough of them, it can serve as the full meal. When you make these, you will see smiles on everyone’s faces.
Ingredients:
16 slider buns
1 lb breaded chicken tenders, cooked
2 cups pasta sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place the bottom half of the slider buns in a greased casserole dish.
Place chicken tenders on the bottom buns and then cover them in sauce.
Combine the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle it over the sauce.
Place the top buns on the sliders.
Melt the butter and mix the garlic powder until it is thoroughly combined.
Pour the melted butter over the buns and then sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes.
