There is much to be said for the main course and when you sit down to a lovely meal, it is nice to dig in and enjoy the flavors. Many people have come to realize, however, that there is more to the meal than the main course. In fact, when you take the time to make an appetizer, you can really appreciate what the entire meal brings to the table.
Although there are many different types of appetizers out there, none of them compare to the delicious taste of this creamy feat and bacon bruschetta. Put this in front of your dinner guests and give them a real treat!
Ingredients:
6 oz crumbled feta
2 oz cream cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
1/2 cup grape tomatoes, halved
3 tbsp fresh basil, julienned
1 baguette, cut into 1/4 inch diagonal slices toasted
Directions:
Add your feta, cream cheese and olive oil into a food processor with the minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Blend until it is smooth and creamy.
Spread the cheese mixture on top of your toasted baguettes.
Then top with some of the grape tomatoes.
Sprinkle the bacon on top, and then top with the basil.
