These Fried Donut Holes Are The Ultimate Morning Snack

What do you think of when you think of breakfast? Some people may think of bacon and eggs or perhaps pancakes but for the majority of people out there, it is a meal that they grab on the go. That is why doughnuts are such a popular treat and most of us tend to eat them too often. If you enjoy doughnuts, you will love this special treat of fried doughnut holes.

When doughnut holes were first introduced, they became wildly popular. After all, who could resist such a delicious bite-size treat? You can now take your donut holes to the next level with this fried variety. Make them at home and you will find that everyone comes running to the table for their own quota.

Ingredients:

Donuts

Vegetable oil or canola oil for frying
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoon butter cold
3/4 cups milk

Topping

1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 ground cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat the oil to 350 degrees.

In a small bowl mix together your topping ingredients and set aside.

In a large bowl combine your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cut in the butter with a pastry cutter.

Stir in the milk until it forms a dough.

Knead the dough and separate little balls.

Lower your donut holes into the heated oil slowly and fry for about 3 and a half minutes. Only do about 4 or 5 at a time so it isn’t over crowded.

Pull them out of the oil with a small metal strainer then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
