Chocolate Nutella Brownie Recipe – Need We Say More?

I have made a lot of desserts in my lifetime and I have to admit, it is a rare occasion when I find something that I don’t truly love. It doesn’t matter if it is a cookie, cake or even a piece of chocolate fudge; it really helps to round out the perfect meal or makes a great snack in the middle of the afternoon. I just can’t seem to get enough of sweet stuff, but now that I’ve tried these brownies, I may just be in a little over my head.

When you have a chocolate brownie, it is usually one of the greatest treats you can have in your life. The combination of the crusting on the outside and the chewiness on the inside go together to produce a sensation that will certainly leave you satisfied. If you really want to kick things up a notch, however, then you need to try this recipe.

There are many brownie recipes available, but this one is special for a very simple reason. It contains Nutella, so it really brings something special to the table. Once you make this brownie recipe for your family, they will never accept regular brownies again.

Ingredients:
185g | 6.5oz unsalted butter, cubed
200g | 7oz good quality dark chocolate
90g | 3.2oz plain flour
40g | 1.5 unsweetened cocoa powder
3 large eggs
270g | 9.5 caster sugar

Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 160 degrees celcius / 320 faranheit

2. Place butter into a saucepan over a medium heat and bring to a gentle boil.

3. Turn heat OFF and then add dark chocolate stirring intermittently until the chocolate has melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly

4. Place 3 eggs and sugar into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until they have almost doubled in size and are super light and fluffy. At least 7 minutes

5. Sift the flour and cocoa into a bowl

6. Pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and gently fold the two together using big round figure 8 movements. Stop mixing as soon as you no longer see vanilla streaks through the chocolate batter

7. Re-sift the flour & cocoa evenly over the top of the chocolate mixture and fold together, again using the figure 8 action

**OPTIONAL – add 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chunks, or nuts as desired**

8. Pour into a brownie tin that’s been sprayed with cooking spray and lined on the base with baking paper

9. Bake for 20-25 minutes. The top should start to look a little flaky and the middle should spring back lightly when touched

10. Remove from oven and make ganache while the brownie cools.
