If you need a quick dish because you don’t have enough time to run to the store for ingredients, here’s a good one: you only need onions, oil and balsamic vinegar for an excellent appetizer.
Small red onions are better for a plate with other food items. You’ll have to cut the onion in half, down to about 1/2 inch of the root end. Then cut the onion in half again and again crosswise, tha same way. You should have now 8 wedges attached like a flower bud.
