When it comes to snacking, everybody seems to have their own personal preferences. For some people, it is snacking on something sweet and for others, it may be looking for something savory. Although these differences certainly do exist, one snack that almost seems to be universal in its appeal are tacos. That is what makes this delicious recipe such a hit in any household.
When it comes to taco recipes, you will have a difficult time topping what this particular bite-size option has to offer. They are cheesy taco sticks, and it is perhaps the most delicious way that you will ever use pizza dough. They are quite simple to make and once you put them on the table, they are going to perform a disappearing act that would make Houdini jealous. Try them once and you will have to make them over and over again.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 tube Pillsbury pizza dough
2 colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks, halved
4 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees and coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
Brown ground beef in a skillet, mixing in the taco seasoning in. Don’t add water as you usually would, just stir the seasoning until all the ground beef is fully coated.
Spread the pizza dough across your baking sheet and cut it into 10 small rectangles.
Spoon about a tablespoon into each rectangle. Place a piece of the halved cheese on top of the ground beef and roll the pizza dough closed. Make sure you pinch the seams closed.
Baked for 10 to 12 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Serve with your favorite taco dips like sour cream or salsa and enjoy!
