These Apple Pie Cupcakes Provide You With A Delightful Burst Of Flavor

There are certain snacks that are more than just something you eat when you feel hungry, they are comfort foods from our youth. Two of those food choices are cupcakes and apple pie. Each of them are sure to invoke memories from good times when we are young, but those good times don’t need to stop. In fact, this unique recipe will bring it all back to you in the best way possible.

When you first look at these cupcakes, they might look somewhat normal on the outside. Once you take a bit of them, however, you will recognize that there is something quite special on the inside. After all, they are filled with apple pie filling and the combination of textures and flavors is sure to put a smile on your face. Top with some whipped cream and you have a fantastic treat.

Ingredients:

1 box of white cake mix (plus ingredients required on the box)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 can (22 ounces) apple pie filling
whipped cream or ice cream for topping (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line cupcake pan with liners.

Make cupcake batter according to box directions. Stir in cinnamon.

Chop apple pie filling into bite sized pieces.

Add 3 tablespoons of cake batter to each cupcake liner.

Place 1 slightly heaped tablespoon of pie filling on top of the batter.

Bake 18-20 minutes.

Top with ice cream or whipped cream.
