Enjoy A Rainbow Of Colors With This Kool-Aid Sherbet

There are two types of people in this world, those who love ice cream and those who love sherbet. Of course, many of us also tend to fall somewhere in the middle but we certainly would never turn down a sweet bowl of sherbet. The problem is, we may not think about picking it up at the store and we end up with a craving when we are back home again. Thanks to this recipe, your craving will now be fulfilled in the best way possible.

Imagine being able to make your own sherbet and to make it any color and flavor that you possibly want. That is what is possible with this recipe, because you make your own sherbet easily at home but then you use Kool-Aid to add flavor and color. Not only are you going to love this deliciously smooth frozen treat, your family is going to love it when you put it on the table.

Ingredients:

1 pkg Kool-Aid mix, any flavor
1 cup sugar
3 cups milk

Directions:

In a large bowl, whisk together all three ingredients until sugar and Kool-Aid mix is dissolved. Pour into a shallow dish, cover and then place in the freezer for about 2 hours, or until mostly set.

Place the partially frozen sherbet back in a bowl and mix with an electric mixer until smooth. Refreeze in the covered, shallow container and let set up overnight. Set the sherbet out about 10-15 minutes prior to serving to make it easier to scoop.
