These Raspberry Apple Granola Bars Are A Real Treat

It doesn’t matter how good you eat, all of us enjoy a treat from time to time. For some of us, that treat may be a sugary snack but for others, they try to keep things on a healthier level. If you are somebody who loves to snack but wants to stay healthy, these raspberry Apple granola bars are a great choice.

The 7 ingredients in this snack recipe are not only delicious, they come together to bring you a nutritious snack as well. Make these for your children as an afterschool snack or take some with you for work so that you can avoid hitting the vending machine during the day. They are easy to make, so it’s time to get started.

Ingredients:

1 tsp coconut oil, melted
½ cup unsweetened applesauce, room temperature
⅓ cup skim milk
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 ½ cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries, diced

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F

In a large bowl, stir together the oil and applesauce until smooth

Mix in the milk, honey and cinnamon until thoroughly combined

Stir in the oats until evenly coated with the applesauce mixture

Gently fold in the raspberries.

Press the oat mixture into an 8”-square baking pan, and bake at 350°F for 16-19 minutes

Cool completely to room temperature in the pan before slicing into 10 bars
