Video Recipe: Filthy Snickers Pavlova

Our choice of dessert can really say a lot about us, and many of us tend to be locked into one particular style or flavor. At times, it may help to try something new and for many of us, that newness comes in a type of dessert named Pavlova. It is a meringue dessert that has a Chris crossed and a light texture on the inside. It can take on almost any flavor, including Snickers!

This dessert has been around for almost a century but it is surprising how many people have not tried it before. This recipe helps to introduce you to the dessert but even if you have been eating it for years, it is likely to put a spin on it that will keep you coming back for more. After all, who of us doesn’t love a Snickers bar and what it is combined with the textures in this dessert dish, it is sweetness perfection.

Pavlova was named after the Russian ballerina, Anna Pavlova and it is thought to have been created during one of her course to either New Zealand or Australia in the 1920s. Regardless of when it came into existence, our lives are better because it is here.

Recipe:

For the meringue:
4 large egg whites
1 tsp white wine vinegar
250g caster sugar
1/2 tbsp cornflour
2 tbsp cocoa powder

For the cream:
50g double cream
70g peanut butter
200g double cream

Extras:
Salted caramel, chopped roasted and salted peanuts, melted chocolate and chopped up Snickers to decorate.
