Try This Baked Spaghetti Spin On A Classic Dish

I want you to stop what you are doing right now and think of one of your favourite meals. There are probably many different answers out there but I bet somewhere on your list of favourites is spaghetti. Not only is it a fantastic dish because it is yummy, it is easy to make and it is also very easy on the budget as well.

If you are someone who loves spaghetti, you have got to try this unique spin on that classic dish. It is baked spaghetti and it has everything you love about the classic dish, all wrapped up in a nice, neat package. This meal is great for when you are in a pinch and need to throw something together. It makes up very quickly but nobody needs to know it. They will think you slaved for hours over this one.

Ingredients:

16 ounce package spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 26 ounce jar meatless spaghetti sauce
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
5 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups small curd cottage cheese
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

Stir in the spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt; set aside

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter.

Drain spaghetti; add to egg mixture and toss to coat.

Place half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish.

Top with half of the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Repeat layers.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake 20-25 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Enjoy!
