Separating an egg’s whites from its yolk can be a messy business. In reality, it’s as easy as cracking an egg, over a bowl, into your open palm — the yolk stays in the middle, and the white runs down the sides. Just because it’s easy, though, doesn’t mean it’s fun.
This method is mess-free, and probably a bit more precise. If you were to separate them with your hands, you’re bound to have a bit of egg white not make its way to the bowl, and then it’s all over yourself. With a plastic bottle, it seems to only pick up the yolk, leaving the rest behind.
