Make This Sausage And Peppers Stuffed Spaghetti Squash Recipe As Part Of Your Delicious Meal

Food can be a part of our lives in so many different ways. For some of us, getting together for a meal is a social event and it doesn’t matter if we are sitting down with friends, family or business associates, it is one of our favourite times of the day. When you sit down at a great meal, it seems as if everything is right with the world.

Sometimes, food can even be nostalgic and that is what you are going to experience when you try this sausage and pepper stuffed spaghetti squash. You can make it any time of year as a delicious treat for dinner or lunch. Regardless of when you make it, however, it will bring you back to those crisp autumn days and the beauty of falling leaves.

Most people tend to shy away from recipes such as this, feeling as if they are too complicated to make. The fact of the matter is, however, this is one of those meals that is not only quick to make, it is quite tasty as well.

Ingredients:

Spaghetti Squash

2 small spaghetti squash, cut in half and seeded
1 tbsp oil
salt and pepper to taste

Filling

1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
1 tbsp oil
1 onion, diced
2 red peppers, diced
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 cups marinara sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup mozzarella, shredded

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Cut the spaghetti squash in half and scoop out the seeds.

Brush oil on the squash, then sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Pplace in the oven until tender – usually about 30 minutes.

While it cooks, prepare the filling for your squash. Cook the sausage in a skillet with oil, crumbling it into small pieces as you go.

Pull the sausage out of the skillet, then add the onions into the pan, and let them simmer until tender.

Add your peppers to the pan to get them tender and the add the garlic in.

Once all of your ingredients are ready, add the sausage and marinara sauce and heat up.

Fluff up the spaghetti squash and separate your sauce between the squash halves.

Top each with the cheese and then broil in the oven until it is melted and brown and then you are ready to serve!
